Property Accessibility Statement
Tanglewood Inn does not offer any handicap-accessible accommodations since the establishment is located within a facility that contains not more than five rooms for rent or hire and that is occupied by the proprietor of the establishment as the residence of the proprietor. (5 U.S.C. 301; 28 U.S.C. 509, 510; 42 U.S.C. 12186(b). § 36.104 Definitions). However, we are committed to doing whatever we reasonably can to make our property accessible if applicable.
Tanglewood Inn was first built in 1908. There is one guest room on the first floor and three on the second floor. These rooms are only accessible by a flight of stairs with 18 steps, respectively. The guest entrance to the B&B also has 4 stairs, and is not wheelchair accessible.
As a property with, "not more than five rooms for rent or hire and that is actually occupied by the proprietor of the establishment as the residence of the proprietor," Tanglewood Inn is not considered a "public accommodation" under the Americans with Disabilities Act (5 U.S.C. 301; 28 U.S.C. 509, 510; 42 U.S.C. 12186(b). § 36.104 Definitions).
